There is something to be said about networking with other photographers. When I say networking, I don't mean walking around an event and handing out as many different business cards to as many different people that you can with about the warmth of a blizzard. Networking, and truly caring, or being a Lovecat (Love Is the Killer App), is what really makes a positive difference not only in your life but in the lives of others.
There have been many great photographers that have greatly influenced my life in wedding photography such as David Jay, Kenny Kim, Andres Valenzuela, John Heyn, Ahmet, Marissa Levin and so many more. I've found that the more I practice being a Lovecat, the more everyone benefits around me and the happier everyone is. :-)
A big thanks to a recent friend, Michael Grubb, who discovered me and just had the nicest things to say. He even posted about me on his blog here. Definitely check it out and take some time to stop by and say hi and be a Lovecat yourself!!

Our First PhVusion Slideshow!!!
Ty and Viviane recently did a Trash the Dress session with Rob, Yvonne and I and thanks to Canon and their super-sweet HD DSLR cameras, Rob was able to capture AMAZING footage of the shoot (ok, ok, thanks to Rob's creativity too!!).
Rob and I have branched out a whole new line of our products combined into what we've called PhVusion (patent and corporation pending), a mix of our Photos and Video fused together to create one-of-a-kind products that are cutting edge to the wedding industry. We've already created The Digital Photo Album, Wedding Websites and now we've released our first demo of the PhVusion Slideshow!! BIG things are happening and this is only the beginning.

Kerianne and Tom's Wedding
I couldn't have been more excited to shoot this wedding because Tom is one of my old high school friends and Kerianne is just the sweetest woman you could ever hope to meet.
I do have to say, this was the best ceremony I've ever been to, and I'm sorry Tom for telling the story again, but I just can't help myself and I know you're a good sport. So we all know the "with this ring" speech...showing a symbol of one's love and fidelity, correct? Well, it was Tom's turn (and in his defense he did go first) to say it...and as the priest took him through the vows line-by-line, he finally came to the end "my love and fidelity"...to which Tom repeated innocently "my love and fertility."
It was loud and clear, everyone heard it so much so that everyone started chuckling a bit...Tom looked back bewildered and mouthed to his friend Scotty, "That's right, right?" By the time Kerianne got to "love and fidelity" for her turn, the entire church was rolling with laughter. Tom finally realizing what he said, turned to the church and took a bow. hahahaha
Their wedding was an absolute blast, but the best part was the Bon Jovi medley that Tom was given the Mike for...it was such a flash back to the "good-old-days" and Tom definitely put on a show!
Kerianne had an amazing style in mind for this wedding which she pulled together with pink and black utilizing the girls' dresses, her flowers and the ring bearer's really funky pillow. I was accompanied by the newlywed Andres and even got to see Kim later that night too!!

Ty and Viviane TRASH THE DRESS!!!
Ok well maybe not totally trash it with paint and mud, but we did have an amazing beach session and Viviane did run around in the water and lay in the sand for some AMAZING pictures.
November 8th was Viviane's birthday and she couldn't think of a better way to spend it than trashing her dress with her new hubby, Ty. And as a birthday gift, Rob came along with the 7d to shoot video (he's sitting right in from of me editing it right now...um, holy crap is all I have to say about it's sweetness) and Yvonne Moss, who also did her makeup for her wedding and engagement session, graciously gave her a free makeup application as well! Yvonne also shot these following fun images of Rob and I shooting together!! :-)
EnJOY and check back soon for the PhVusion piece that Rob is putting together!!!

Kristin and Mike's Wedding Day
Kristin and Mike have been a wonderful couple ever since I met them. Their engagement session was amazing at Allaire State Park because of the chemistry between them and the energy they had in front of the camera. Their wedding definitely didn't disappoint!
On top of it, they even let Rob come and try out a new video camera, the 7D, on their wedding...and they are so glad they did because the video that Rob shot was incredible! Check it out on his blog here. I can't wait to see what PhVusion work we come up with now that we're both shooting with similar cameras and the same lenses...it's be out of this world!
I also rented the Canon 85mm 1.2, and WOW, can't wait to purchase that one for keeps! Yvonne Moss was also there doing her magic as a make-up artist, which just made my day complete!

Carla and Doug's Engagement Session
A day in Hoboken is always an amazing time and shooting Carla and Doug's E-Session held true to that! This was one of the most perfect days for shooting with a beautiful cloudy sky and the light was just amazing. The funniest moment was when we took, by request of Carla's Aunt, a picture in front of the infamous Carlo's Bake Shop of the TLC show Cake Boss. Since none of us wanted to look like the rest of the tourists posing in front of the store, we took a quickie and ran by instead!
EnJOY!!
I couldn't help but to futz around with a few images with a new editing toy that Rob found at the Javitz Center convention.

Catrina and Danny's Engagement Session
I have discovered something new that I love about being a photographer. I love that I can shoot in the same locations and come up with both creative shots that I've never done before and know where to go to take consistently great images. It's a way that I can offer both security and spontaneity with what I do.
That being said, I was able to photograph Catrina and Danny at Allaire State Park for their engagement session the night before Halloween. They even brought the dog and an outfit change! Check out their slideshow. :-)

CD Release Party
No, no, I didn't change careers! But I did branch out a little recently into a different genre of photography and photographed Joe Baracata. Joe is having his CD release party this Sunday at 507 Main in Belmar, so if you can make it definitely stop by! You'll get to see some of my images featured in his CD and on his website as well (see below). :-)
